Full service agency Sentius launches first Australian office without ‘agency rhetoric or jargon’
Full service agency Sentius has launched its first Australian office, consolidating its Australian staff into one centralised location.
The new office will provide capabilities across web development, design, digital and social media marketing, search and SEO, traditional marketing, advertising, consulting, PR and research, with Mark Fraser, chief executive officer and strategist saying the agency is a “rare hybrid”.
“By applying strategy first we deliver tailored business and marketing solutions that are designed to achieve the right outcomes for our clients, not just reach, clicks or likes,” Fraser said.
“Many agencies claim to be strategic or full service but they are often not. We start all client relationships with a three-year marketing plan and stick around to implement the plan across traditional and digital. We work at a deeply strategic level which many agencies, in particular digital agencies, couldn’t begin to understand.
“Digital agencies have much to answer for. They pitch on spin, create fear and use technical jargon no one understands,” he added.
Fraser said most of his staff were from the client side, without the “agency rhetoric or jargon”.
“Our down to earth, no-bullshit attitude and transparent approach is a direct reflection of our five business values of balance, knowledge, commitment, strategy and growth. This is what really sets us apart from other agencies,” he said.
Sentius has worked with La Trobe Uni, Jaggad, McMillan Shakespeare, Warrnambool Cheese and Butter, Rhodes & Beckett, Rokk Ebony, Beds for Backs, Automobility, Community Care Chemist and Skillinvest.
Looks great. Congrats Sentius!

That’s not the usual agency bullshit???
When your client list extends to serious, blue-chip, or high street brands, I might take you seriously, mate.

Isn’t there already a company with a very similar name operating in a similar space? Sentia – the app developers.

Speaking of spin:
We start all client relationships with a three-year marketing plan and stick around to implement the plan across traditional and digital. We work at a deeply strategic level which many agencies, in particular digital agencies, couldn’t begin to understand. Digital agencies have much to answer for. They pitch on spin, create fear and use technical jargon no one understands,” he added
(which when translated from spin means other agencies are dopes and we are smart because we sign them up to a three year deal from the start)
Speaking of jargon::
Our down to earth, no-bullshit attitude and transparent approach is a direct reflection of our five business values of balance, knowledge, commitment, strategy and growth. This is what really sets us apart from other agencies.
(BTW the word direct is superfluous and the word This refers to what? The direct reflection? Your attitudes, approach and business values? All this? Or is he holding something?
In any event do clients actually believe this sort of monkey chest beating??

“This” does not refer to “direct” but to “our down to earth, no bs attitude…”

We are actually a client of Sentius (yes) after a series of partnering with typical agencies and some horror experiences with Digital agencies in particular. Message to you above where a nerve has obviously been touched – they (Sentius) actually live what they are claiming. The focus on strategy and planning (real strategy), their service and results we have experienced so far are incomparable.

Thanks Phil for your totally arms length unsolicited post, parroting and supporting the risible narrative of the strategic genius of Sentius.
What a happy coincidence you were around to support them!

Pretty sure ‘this’ refers to the approach they are taking…seems correct to me

No jargon,…… then nothing but agency jargon and then takes a massive swing at most of the industry and says he is way smarter.
Not a great quote from an agency leader, “We work at a deeply strategic level which many agencies, in particular, digital agencies, couldn’t begin to understand.”
Why so bitter and aggressive in a PR release to say hi the world?
I don’t think this article you positions you as a superior strategic leader. Especially when you dont mention any other key people on the Full-service team.
It makes you sound like an egocentric tosser.
This industry has thousands of great, smart and talented people working in it.
Luckily the complete wankers are easy to spot.
You just have to listen to them talk.
Perhaps, I’m totally wrong here and the new baby Jesus of strategy has arrived. If so happy to stand corrected. Hopefully, the work can speak for itself.
P.S. The website has business card design as a case study so its fingers crossed on that.

One of the ugliest agency websites I’ve ever seen. Must be incredibly effective though – given their claims.

The bells started ringing in the second paragraph with “rare hybrid”.
This is so contradictory to could have been written by Tony Abbott.
