FW releases powerful personal development podcast

FW (previously known as Future Women) – an organisation dedicated to normalising gender equality in the workplace – has released a podcast titled Mindset.

The announcement:

FW (formerly Future Women) has launched a new podcast called Mindset. Mindset is a guide to getting out of your own way and a blueprint for professional success.

In this series, neuroscience coach Shelley Laslett will join FW’s Sally Spicer to explore the negative feelings that threaten to hold us back before FW’s Helen McCabe and Jamila Rizvi share their practical wisdom, moving you just that little bit closer to resilience and fulfilment.

It’s a 16 episode series. All episodes dropped this morning on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

About Future Women (now FW)

FW is an inclusive, member-led organisation committed to achieving gender equality in Australian workplaces. We do this by supporting women in their careers, training the men they work with, guiding the employers they work for and working with governments to support women to return to work.

Quotes attributable to communications director and series host Sally Spicer

“It’s an absolute pleasure to host my first FW podcast. This series perfectly demonstrates our mission here at FW: it’s a research-driven, compassionate and highly practical resource for anyone who’s got a job or is searching for one. Whether you’re just starting out or already at the top of your professional game, this is the perfect way to move past the buzzwords and transform how you approach challenges and opportunities.”

“Over 16 episodes, neuroscientist Shelley Laslett uses plain language to break down the reason our brains are wired to make us feel stressed, overwhelmed, afraid and self-critical. FW’s managing director Helen McCabe and deputy managing director Jamila Rizvi then flip that feeling on its head, tapping into the latest research and their enormous wealth of personal experience in order to help you unlock your professional potential.”
