Gai Le Roy announced as new COO and partner at Gateway Research
Former IAB director of research Gai Le Roy has joined behavioural research firm Gateway Research as a partner and the company’s new chief operating officer.
Le Roy joins Gateway, a firm specialising in eye tracking and biometric data, after a six month consultancy with the business.
Dr Peter Brawn, founder of Gateway Research, said: “Gai joins the business at an exciting time; the benefits of visual science research are now widely understood and embraced by marketers, and consequently the commercial appetite for this type of research is exploding.
“Gateway has deep ties in the FMCG and shopper research space and Gai’s appointment will help enrich our offering for our media and advertising clients.”
Le Roy has more than 20 year’s research experience and previously held senior research roles at Fairfax Media, Nielsen and Ninemsn.
Of the appointment Le Roy said, “Having previously been a client of Gateway Research, I understand the value this sort of research can bring to an organisation.
“With marketing budgets coming under more and more scrutiny, I am excited to be able to help develop and deliver new ways to measure and improve marketing effectiveness.”
Le Roy departed IAB as director of research in February 2015 after almost three years in the key digital industry role.
