Geedup Clothing launches new campaign featuring Aussie UFC fighter

Ahead of its new collection dropping next week, streetwear brand Geedup Clothing has launched a new campaign, ‘Proud To Be A Problem’, featuring Australian mixed martial art and UFC fighter, Tyson Pedro.

Shot in Sydney’s Inner West, the campaign pays homage to Pedro’s roots and his athletic journey, featuring some of his early training rituals with his father.

The partnership champions the stories of two underdogs – Geedup and Pedro – to their respective global success today.

“Working with the Geedup crew was a breeze and something I thoroughly enjoyed. Not only do I love their gear but the boys were born and raised from the area. The alignment couldn’t have been more perfect,” Pedro said of the campaign.

The brand launched in 2010 with the aim of “creating something positive that youth slipping through the cracks could belong to”.

It describes itself as “for those who have faced closed doors and dead ends, only to break their way into the building and take over”.

Founder Jake Paco said: “Proud to be a problem is a term of endearment. To be a problem is to go against the grain, to challenge and create competition.

“Knowing Tyson from the West this is an important opportunity to highlight our roots and our shared values and love for West Sydney.”

Pedro’s last fight came in September in Sydney at UFC 293 when he defeated Sweden’s Anton Turkalj in the first round.
