Geeks and Hawkie dominate TV audiences on Monday night

A new episode of The Big Bang Theory and an Australian Story on the life of former Prime Minister Bob Hawke were the highest ratings programs, outside news, on an evening where few shows again hit over one million in audience.

The Big Bang Theory was the highest rating program of the evening with an audience of 1.274m tuning in at 7.30pm, while 1.195m tuned in for a repeat at 8pm.

Over on the ABC 965,000 viewers tuned in to watch part one of a two part Australian Story episode of the life of Bob Hawke.
