Gil Scrine launches home entertainment arm

Independent distributor Gil Scrine  Films will launch its new label Antidote Films next month, in partnership with All Interactive Distribution, which will handle distribution to rental and retail channels.

The company’s titles had previously been released through Madman Entertainment.

According to company founder Gil Scrine, the company identified a growing consumer demand in both rental and retail, particularly for product beyond the Hollywood offering – which is why the new label will be an “Antidote” for the market.

Antidote will launche with Michael Davie’s 1007 documentary The Choir, the Melbourne-set thriller Four of a Kind, and the Scott Millwood’s documentary Whatever Happened to Brenda Hean?
