Glen 20 spotlights Meals on Wheels partnership in new national campaign

Glen 20 has launched its latest national TV campaign aimed at raising awareness for its ongoing partnership with Meals on Wheels Australia.

The Aussie disinfectant brand continues its purpose-led partnership with Meals on Wheels, a non-for-profit that delivers more than 10 million meals per year to elderly and vulnerable Australians.

The new campaign has begun airing across TV and OLV, and aims to drive further awareness of the partnership, especially in the lead up to Christmas and while COVID-19 continues to impact the lives of many elderly Australians.

Glen 20 encourages Aussies to support Meals on Wheels as it navigates the short and long-term challenges of the pandemic.

The TVC shows a Meals on Wheels volunteer catching up with a meal recipient, in a socially distanced manner, as well as delivering them some Glen 20.

RB Hygiene ANZ marketing director Saurabh Jain said Glen 20 has stood by its promise to give Australians peace of mind.

“2020 has been a year of uncertainty. This is especially true for vulnerable and elderly Australians, many of whom have been significantly impacted and unsettled by the challenges of the pandemic.”

“As one of the country’s leading disinfectant brands, Glen 20 has been helping protect Aussies for generations. We’ve stood by this promise during this time by ensuring our products are as effective as possible to give Aussies peace of mind.

“So too has Meals on Wheels, which has persevered with its much-needed food deliveries and wellbeing check-ins, despite so many obstacles, to provide their clients with the peace of mind they need.”

The creative was put together by Host/Havas in Sydney.

Meals on Wheels Australia president Sharyn Broer said the service has been important in keeping vulnerable Aussies connected to society during COVID-19 isolation.

” For many of our clients, our meal drop-offs and check-ins have been the highlight of their week during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“During this unusual and challenging year, the service we provide has been critical to ensuring these vulnerable Australians are not only well fed but feel connected to society.”

“Much like Glen 20, protecting the wellbeing of Australians is something we are passionate about, which is why we are very pleased to be continuing our partnership with Glen 20, aptly captured in this awareness-raising TV commercial.

“The donation of Glen 20 product has been incredibly valued by our clients and volunteers as they try their best to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 virus on their day-to-day lives. It’s helped us a great deal.”

Earlier this year, Glen 20 launched a campaign calling for donations by its customers to help Meals on Wheels continue to provide its critical services. At that time, $1m of disinfectant products were donated to Meals on Wheels by Glen 20’s parent company RB.

Glen 20 Surface Spray Disinfectant continues to be distributed to Meals on Wheels recipients in various parts of Australia.
