PR simulation to tackle how to run a global event at Mumbrella360
The challenges of managing communications for a live event which is publicised and broadcast globally will be the subject of a PR simulation at this year’s Mumbrella360.
The session – curated by Wrights PR – will include handling messages in a social media context as well as the wider media.
Last year’s PR crisis simulation by Wrights received one of the highest feedback scores from delegates to the conference. This year’s session will replicate the issues professionals face when running a global event, and will be led by MD Douglas Wright.
Wright will be joined by Tom Salom, Network Sports Publisher at News Limited; Adjunct Professor Rob Gell, a veteran of 31 years on television and the environmental ambassador for the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne; Richard Heale, founding President of the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA); and, content specialist Lauren Magid, NSW manager of Wrights PR.
Wright was also on a panel which simulated the issue of horsemeat being found in the Australian food supply in live social media crisis session at CommsCon in February.
