Global network Her launches in Sydney

Global network for women across technology, publishing and digital, Her, has launched in Sydney.

The announcement:

The world’s largest invite-only community for creative & professional women, HER Global Network has announced their launch into the Australian market with HER Sydney launching February 28, 2018.

Propelled forward locally by Leni Andronicos and Chelsie Paulson, the launch of HER Sydney follows recent openings in New York, Paris, Stockholm, Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, LA, London, Miami, Nice, Oslo and San Francisco.

HER Global Network is an invite-only community of over 5000 women across 14 cities that connects driven and impactful females, inviting key leaders propelling change in their respective industries to come together for intimate dinners, networking events, panel discussions, wellness activations and limited open format events designed to engage the wider female community with HER.

“HER is a unique way for female leaders to celebrate authenticity and vulnerability, an opportunity to meet and inspire each other in a safe, private space,” says Andronicos.

“Each HER event is incredibly intimate, with a select group of women creating meaningful conversation over dinner. Each event is curated around a theme with a guest speaker invited to facilitate the evening’s conversation, connecting impactful female leaders across tech, publishing and digital.”

“HER is part of an incredible global women’s movement,” says Paulson. “HER is about taking a step forward – bringing female leaders together in a deeper and more meaningful way. Our mission is to use this network to build a better future together.”

A selection of HER members include leaders from Google, VOGUE, Uber, Buzzfeed, Tumblr, Snapchat, Samsung, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Adidas and MTV.

The movement of HER was founded in Stockholm in 2014 by Aleksandra Avli and Sofia Kacim with one clear mission: to bridge the gap between the relationship women often experience in their personal lives vs. the competitive nature in their professional lives.

“The vision with HER is to bring together a diverse group of women to learn from and support one another forward,” says CEO Avli. “In a world where the curated version of yourself has become the focal point, we strive to create a place where the authentic self is celebrated. Asking and giving help to others is what we all need to grow together as people and HER is our place for that growth.” HER USA is led by Forbes 30 Under 30 alumni Babba Canales, entrepreneur Marika Frumes and previous

VOGUE US editor Sophia Li, while HER Europe is propelled forward by founders Avli and Kacim.

HER Sydney launches with its first members-only dinner at The Butler on February 28, designed by the venue’s new Head Chef Amber Doig.
