GoDaddy, the world’s largest domain name register, has announced the appointment of Tracy Hall as Marketing Director. This appointment continues to build on the growth of its Australia and New Zealand operations, empowering small business owners and entrepreneurs in Australia to easily start, confidently grow and successfully run their own ventures online.

As Marketing Director, Tracy will be positioning GoDaddy as the top of mind domain, hosting and website building partner for Australian small businesses and entrepreneurs, through strategic direction, execution and marketing optimisation. Tracy will be responsible for expanding upon GoDaddy’s global marketing efforts whilst ensuring their translation locally, with a focus on maximising the customer lifecycle, and driving awareness of the brand and benefits of having a digital presence.

Tracy joins GoDaddy from eBay where, as Head of Brand and Communications, she was responsible for driving brand strategy and programs. While at eBay, Tracy led an 11 per cent increase in Top of Mind Awareness of the brand, elevating it to second most influential brand in Australia (IPSOS 2015). She also led multiple successful marketing campaigns that drove incremental revenue increases.

Prior to her role at eBay, Tracy spent seven years working with Virgin Mobile as Senior Brand & Communications Manager and Broadband Acquisition Manager. She has also held senior branding and marketing positions with AAPT, Absolute Capital and Stadium Australia.

Tara Commerford, GoDaddy Vice President and Managing Director, ANZ, said: “There are more than two million small businesses in Australia, making up 97% of all registered businesses, but surprisingly 60% of them do not have a website. GoDaddy continues to be dedicated to encouraging Aussie small businesses to grow their ventures online. We are delighted to have Tracy join our growing team, bringing her deep experience delivering integrated marketing strategies to help encourage Australians to pursue their passions online.”

Tracy Hall, newly appointed Marketing Director, GoDaddy, ANZ, commented: “I’m thrilled to join a team that is so passionate about making a difference for small businesses – who are the powerhouse of the economy. There is incredible opportunity for GoDaddy to help fuel their passions and success by providing them with the tools they need to thrive.”
