Gogglebox and The Bachelorette win the demos for Ten on a quiet Thursday night

Ten topped the key demographics in a quiet Thursday night’s television, with Googlebox and the Bachelorette winning the key 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 cohorts across the five metro markets.

According to Oztam’s preliminary overnight data, Gogglebox was the most watched non-news show with 729,000 tuning in while The Bachelorette saw 586,000 metro viewers.

Despite Seven’s topping the news programs with 867,000 viewers for its 6pm bulletin and 865,000 at 6.30, Nine took the greatest main channel share with 19.5% of the main city audience, largely on the back Paramedics’ audience of 626,000 viewers which also saw the medical reality show make the top five in all three demographic groups.

Seven recorded a 16.3% metro audience share for its main channel over Ten’s 16.1%. The ABC and SBS saw 9.6% and 5.6% of the audience tune in.

On a network basis, Seven took the greatest main channel share for the evening with 29.4% over Nine’s 27% and Ten’s 21.2%.
