Gogglebox takes entertainment crown while Nine wins Thursday

Ten’s episode of Gogglebox last night topped entertainment programs with 543,000 metro viewers, while also winning key advertising demos, 18-49, and 25-54s.

Seven’s The Chase was next in entertainment airing to an average metro audience of 502,000, followed by Ten’s MasterChef which saw 490,000 metro viewers tune in. MasterChef also won key advertising demo, 16-39.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 14 April, Seven News was the top program nationally across linear, with 1.322 million viewers, including 22,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. The program with the greatest uplift in the top 20 programs was Ten’s Gogglebox with an uplift of 39%, 719,000 Total TV viewers and 22,000 on BVOD.

The AFL match on Seven drew in 609,000 metro viewers. Nine’s Hot Seat had 531,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News at 6:30 topped programming with 888,000 metro viewers, then Seven News with 885,000 metro viewers. Nine News followed with 778,000 metro viewers followed by Nine News 6:30 with 752,000 metro viewers. ABC News had 569,000 metro viewers, then Nine’s A Current Affair with 530,000 metro viewers.

For network share, Nine had the largest with 26.9%, just pipping Seven’s 25.7%. Ten was next with 21.9% and ABC finished with a 16.4% share.
