Gogglebox wins entertainment while Nine takes Thursday

Ten’s Gogglebox was the #1 entertainment program on Thursday night, while Nine celebrated an overall network share win.

Gogglebox brought in 667,000 metro viewers, while also winning two key advertising demos, 16-39 and 18-49.

Seven’s Home And Away was next in entertainment and aired to a metro audience of 578,000, followed by The Chase Australia on Seven which had 540,000 metro viewers.

A late episode of Home And Away on Seven brought in 521,000 metro viewers, while Nine’s Hot Seat saw 518,000 metro viewers tune in.

The #1 program on Thursday was Seven News, which had an average of 1.065 million metro viewers, ahead of Nine News with 1.043 million metro viewers, Nine News also won key advertising demo, 25-54, while Seven News at 6:30 had 1.037 million metro viewers. 

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 27.9% over Seven’s 25.4%, while Ten had a 20.1% network share, and ABC had 17.1%.

Nine won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7TWO with a share of 3.9%. 

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 23 September, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear and BVOD television, with 1.681 million viewers including 35,000 on BVOD.

Home And Away was #1 in entertainment with 1.132 million viewers, with a BVOD audience of 136,000 views, an uplift of 19%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was Gogglebox which had a 25% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 937,000 viewers overall.
