Gogglebox wins entertainment while Seven takes Thursday

Ten’s Gogglebox was the #1 entertainment program on Thursday night, also winning all three key advertising demos, however it was Seven which took the overall network share win.

Gogglebox brought in 610,000 metro viewers, while Seven’s Home And Away pulled in an average metro audience of 585,000.

This was down from Gogglebox’s premiere last Friday which had 633,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s The Chase Australia was next in entertainment and aired to 560,000 metro viewers, followed by a late viewing of Seven’s Home And Away which had a metro audience of 555,000, while Nine’s RBT brought in ​​519,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s Hot Seat pulled in 455,000 metro viewers, followed by Ten’s The Project 7pm with 440,000 metro viewers, while Ten’s second episode of Making It Australia saw 401,000 metro viewers tune in. The premiere of the new show drew 474,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Thursday was Seven News, which had an average of 1.07 million metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6.30 with 1.052 million, and Nine News with 961,000 metro viewers.

As previously mentioned, Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.7% over Nine’s 26%, while Ten had a 20.5% network share, and ABC had 15.7%.

Seven won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7TWO with a share of 4.3%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 9 September, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear and BVOD television, with 1.675 million viewers including 35,000 on BVOD.

Home And Away was #1 in entertainment with 1.134 million viewers, with a BVOD audience of 140,000 views, an uplift of 18%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was Gogglebox which had a 23% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 1.029 million viewers overall.
