Golden Globes draw 136,000 on pay-TV as Big Bash continues to lead the non-news night

The telecast of the Golden Globe Awards on Foxtel’s Fox 8 performed strongly yesterday drawing an audience of 136,000 metropolitan viewers according to OzTam overnight ratings.

The result came as the Big Bash continued to dominate with the match between The Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades drawing 904,000 viewers on Ten and One in Perth for the second session, to be the most watch non-news program of the night. The first session had 868,000 capital city viewers.

The result came as the ABC’s Back Roads, hosted by Heather Ewart, continued to draw strong audiences as it covers life in regional Australian communities, with 824,000.

Over on Seven in the 7pm slot Border Security drew 703,000 while the Fast4 Tennis drew 518,000 at 7.30pm.
