Good Talent Media adds former Fairfax and AMPR talent to line-up

Good Talent Media has appointed both Paul Chai and Casey Petersen as account managers.

The announcement:

Melbourne-based communications agency Good Talent Media (GTM) has made a double appointment, with Paul Chai and Casey Petersen coming aboard as Account Managers to fill newly created positions.

Mr Chai has worked in senior editorial roles for The Financial Times, Fairfax Media, and Variety. He was a freelance travel writer for the ‘Traveller’ section in The Age and a former editor of Tigerair’s inflight magazine, Tiger Tales. He will oversee accounts within GTM’s social affairs department, including a multicultural communications agency and disability services provider.

Ms Petersen arrives from agency AMPR where she worked on accounts including Melbourne Racing Club, Melbourne Fashion Festival, Accent Group and OpenMarkets fintech. She has been appointed to manage accounts including one of Australia’s fastest growing online activewear labels, a legal firm, disability support services and a sports training provider.

“It’s been fantastic to join the highly skilled, supportive and forward-thinking team at GTM,” Ms Petersen commented. “I can now see firsthand why the team has such a high strike rate when it comes to getting stories up in the media. As a team of former journalists, they understand how newsrooms work and apply that to PR.”

Mr Chai agrees, saying “Coming from a news environment I feel right at home. It’s great working for an agency that understands the news cycle and who want to tell good stories. It’s been great so far and really looking forward to my future at GTM.”

Both Chai and Petersen’s roles are newly created to meet the growing workload as a result of the agency signing 30 new clients since January 2020. The staff roster has tripled in less than seven months, making GTM one of Australia’s fastest growing communications agencies.
