Ure departing Australia for a role with Google in Hong Kong

Google’s global communications and public affairs manager for Australia and New Zealand Andrew Ure is finishing up in the local market at the end of next week before moving to Hong Kong, Mumbrella understands.

Ure will remain with Google, taking on a regional policy role which he commences on Monday, November 16. 

He has been with Google Australia for just over two years and is yet to be replaced.

Previous to Google, Ure was the MD o sustainability consultancy OgilvyEarth for nearly a year-and-a-half.

Google is currently advertising for Ure’s replacement as well as for a public policy and government relations manager.
