This week’s live Mumbrella video Hangout was themed around the forthcoming Circus conference.
Chaser co-founder Charles Firth joined Mumbrella’s Tim Burrowes in the studio, while keynote speaker Farrah Bostic joined the conversation from Austin, Texas, and new Account Planning Group chairman Russ Mitchinson was in Auckland, New Zealand.
Circus, the festival of commercial creativity, is organised by The Communications Council. Next Tuesday sees a series of keynote addresses including one from Bostic, while Wednesday’s event, organised by the APG, sees The Battle Of Big Thinking which features Firth doing battle with 14 others.
Bostic is founder of design consultancy The Difference Engine. She will be arguing in her presentation that, like Twitter, brands should have APIs which they open up to consumers. She has previously worked at Wieden + Kennedy, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Hall & Partners.
Meanwhile, Firth will be joining the Battle of Big Thinking to debate in the entertainment category.
Mitchinson is planning partner at DDB and became APG chairman last month.
