GPJ Australia named as ceremonies producer for Invictus Games
Experience agency, GPJ Australia, has been appointed as the ceremonies producer for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney Invictus Games.

The Invictus Games Sydney 2018 presented by Jaguar Land Rover is proud to announce its appointment of leading experience agency GPJ Australia as Ceremonies Producer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, to be held on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House on 20 October and Qudos Bank Arena on 27 October, respectively. GPJ won the business as a result of a competitive
pitch involving a number of Australia’s leading experiential agencies.The GPJ global team are in full support of this partnership and together with Norwest (audio and lighting services) and TDC (vision services) GPJ has been approved as an Official Supplier to the
Invictus Games Sydney 2018. As part of the appointment, GPJ has enlisted the creative talent of Anthony Bastic of AGB Events as Creative Director for both Ceremonies.GPJ Australia is excited to be working together with Invictus Games Sydney 2018 and the agency is in full support of achieving the vision and objectives of the Games. This win continues a strong first quarter for GPJ, adding Yonex, Quickbooks, and SIBOS to its client portfolio.
GPJ was the last agency standing when it became obvious Invictus doesn’t have enough money to produce the event, and all other tenderers dropped out of the tendering process. This will be hotly denied, but insiders all know it. The hat now comes around to sponsors, who will be wary of such a low profile event in the post grand finals period, where consumers are exhausted and ROI is questionable at best.
