Great Australian Bake Off fades as X Factor dominates Tuesday ratings

The Great Australian Bake Off again failed to fire for Nine on Tuesday night, delivering a metro audience of just 692,000 in the 8.30pm slot.

It was seen off by Seven’s local drama Winners & Losers which rated 1.065m, and Ten’s US drama Under The Dome which rated 846,000.

Meanwhile, the biggest show of the night was Seven’s The X Factor, which rated 1.554m. It beat Nine’s Big Brother which rated 895,000 and Ten’s Masterchef which rated 776,000.

In the key advertising demographic of 24-54, The X Factor was top, followed by Winners & Losers. Big Brother was third.

In the morning battleground, the second day of Samantha Armytage as co-host again saw Sunrise enjoy a narrow victory over Today, with particularly close numbers in Melbourne and Brisbane.

Overall, Sunrise won by 407,000 to 345,000. In Sydney it won by 118,000 to 103,000. In Melbourne, the winning margin was just 113,000 to 112,000. In Brisbane, Today won by 86,000 to 85,000. Sunrise won Adelaide by 40,000 to 22,000 and Perth by 51,000 to 22,000.

Seven won the night with a 25.9 per cent audience share, followed by Nine’s 18.7 per cent. Ten was on 14.8 per cent and ABC1 12.2 per cent.
