Griff the Invisible
Transmission Films gave us season passes for the Leon Ford’s Griff the Invisible.
At Encore, we define it as Kick-Ass meets Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Ryan Kwanten stars as Griff, a shy Sydney office worker, bullied at work… but by night, he assumes a superhero
identity to protect the innocent! His brother’s girlfriend, Melody (Maeve Dermody), is the only person who can see beyond his eccentric behaviour; together, they will face a world that doesn’t understand them.
To win, email encore@focalattractions.com.au and tell us, if you were a superhero, what would you call yourself?
Griff versus Reef versus A Heartbeat Away, all released the same week, who will generate the best Box Office?
My money’s on Griff, although the Reef won’t be far behind…
>>who will generate the best Box Office?
Battle Los Angeles – $2-3m
Rango – $1.5m
Griff – $200,000
Reef and Heartbeat – $50,000 each, if they’re lucky.
Yeah, I think you’re pretty much right, although I think $200K for Griff is too high.
I reckon $125K for Griff first weekend…
I’m surprised Transmission are releasing Griff, especially when Kick-Ass has already thoroughly explored the “secret super-hero” movie before…
