Gruen to look at Qantas crisis

Gruen Planet is to make the most of its late recording slot and debate the PR implications of the weekend’s dramatic Qantas fleet grounding in tomorrow night’s show.

Gruen Planet, which examines spin, is recorded just 24 hours ahead of broadcast, unlike regular format The Gruen Transfer which is generally taped the previous week.

The ABC1  show’s guest pundits are City Public Relations boss Tim Allerton and Rebecca Huntley, director of Ipsos-Mackay research.

The show’s Crisis Management segment will examine the Qantas confrontation which saw thousnads of passengers stranded around the world after management grounded the fleet.

The show will also examine PR stunts and branding opportunities around the Occupy Wall Street protests.

Agencies Oddfellows and Convert will compete on The Pitch with the challenge of creating an election ad for Kevin Rudd if he returned to lead the Labor Party.
