Gruen wins entertainment and all 3 key advertising demos

ABC’s Gruen was the #1 entertainment program on Wednesday night, while also winning all three key advertising demos, however, it was Nine that celebrated an overall network share win.

Gruen brought in a metro audience of 618,000, followed by Seven’s Home And Away which saw 526,000 metro viewers tune in, while Nine’s special of singer Adele – Live in London had 452,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s The Chase was next in entertainment with 450,000 metro viewers, followed by Ten’s The Project 7pm which pulled in 373,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s Hot Seat had an average metro audience of 369,000, and Seven’s Big Big VIP had 295,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News, which had an average of 896,000 metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6:30 with 868,000 metro viewers, while Nine News pulled in 827,000.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 28.8% just pipping Seven’s 28.1% share, while TABC took an 19% share, leaving Ten with15.5%.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Wednesday was 7Mate with a share of 4.2%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 10 November, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear with 1.522 million viewers including 30,000 on national BVOD and an uplift of 2%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was Wednesday’s episode of Nine’s Love Island which had an 171% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 521,000 viewers overall and a national BVOD audience of 262,000.
