Gruen wins on slow night for Nine and Ten

The Gruen Transfer was the top performing non news show on a Wednesday night which saw Nine and Ten both fail to land an entertainment show above 800,000 viewers.

The Gruen Transfer rated 1.162m, third for the night, according to preliminary metro ratings from OzTam. It was number one in the age demographics of 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54. 

It was closely followed by ABC1 stablemate Spicks & Specks with a five-city metro total number of 1.074m.

Seven’s best entertainment performers were Home & Away on 1.048m and World’s Strictest Parents on 1.004m.

Ten’s best rating show of the night was the return of Glee on 760,000 followed by The Renovators on 754,000. Nine’s was The Big Bang Theory on 713,000.

The most watched program of the evening was Seven’s Today Tonight with 1.198m.

For metro channel share Seven won overall and Nine edged just ahead of ABC1 for second place with 15.9%.
