GSK appoints Theresa Agnew to lead ANZ consumer healthcare division

Pharmaceutical and healthcare giant GSK has appointed Theresa Agnew to lead the company’s ANZ consumer division.

Agnew was previously the company’s chief marketing officer and VP of US marketing, before taking the position of ANZ consumer health care acting area general manager nearly three months ago.

Agnew has over 29 years’ experience in the consumer healthcare and consumer medical devices industries. She began her career at Johnson & Johnson and worked in a number of senior roles across the LifeScan and McNeil Consumer Healthcare divisions. She has also held senior roles at DDB and Essilor International.

GSK’s consumer healthcare, regional head of APAC, Filippo Lanzi said: “We’re very glad that Theresa is joining our ANZ consumer healthcare business. Since taking on the acting role in February this year, she has proven her commitment to the team and ability to help build the future of the ANZ consumer healthcare business with a focus on culture and development as well as building our brands.”

She will be responsible for leading the consumer healthcare business of ANZ, guiding strategy across a portfolio of some of the world’s most trusted and best-selling brands, including Panadol, Voltaren, Sensodyne, Polident and Otrivin.
