The win comes after both WPP retained the creative account and won the PR and digital accounts for Panadol and Publicis Media was appointed to GSK’s global media account in October 2018.

Richard Bennett, area head of digital at GSK, said in a statement: “We’re focused on advancing the digital experience for our consumers, and a key component of this strategy is engagement with our brands via social media. Weber Shandwick’s creativity, combined with the teams’ healthcare and social marketing expertise, and their globally integrated network, makes them a natural fit to support this priority.”

Ian Rumsby, Weber Shandwick Australia chairman, stated: “We’re delighted at the opportunity to partner with GSK in Australia, across such a highly regarded product portfolio.

“As an agency, our ability to deliver smart, creative and integrated solutions in the healthcare space has been a key tenet of our talent investment strategy and it’s particularly exciting to be able to deliver on that promise.”
