Updated: Guests test positive for COVID following UnLtd’s Big Dream charity event
Update: As of Saturday 27 November, NSW Health has alerted attendees of the Big Dream that they are now “a casual contact of someone who has tested positive to Covid-19” and as a result must get tested immediately and self-isolate until they get a negative result. Both Mumbrella’s staff who attended the event have been tested and registered a negative result.
Two people who attended last week’s Big Dream Event by UnLtd have tested positive to COVID-19.
NSW Health has been texting and emailing the 650 plus guests who attended, warning them to be alert for coronavirus symptoms.
It’s time for the industry to be honestly informed about the spread of covid from Big Dream into 5+ agencies, through Christmas parties, onto clients, onto families and friends and now disrupting the Christmas break everyone needs. I am double vaccinated and am very sick. I have spread it onto family and friends, and put 15+ people into isolation and feel guilty for ruining their Christmas break. This needs to stop and the industry needs to inform members of the spread, use rapid tests before agency events, parties, client meetings. As we head into the 2 weeks before Christmas – give people the gift of a break. Most are not asymptomatic, people in our industry are extremely unwell and this needs to be taken seriously.
