Foxtel has launched an ad featuring musician Guy Sebastian timed to coincide with the airing of the final episode of cult US drama Breaking Bad.
The ad promoted Foxtel’s non-contract service Foxtel Play, which allows consumers to access content without an ongoing contract.
The final episode of Breaking Bad – featuring the misadventures of chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin Walter White – is being fast-tracked by Foxtel’s Showcase channel on Monday evening, a few hours after it goes out in the US.
The ad features Sebastian chatting on the phone to a mate who is planning a romantic night in with his girlfriend to watch Breaking Bad. The friend appears to be unaware that the show is on Foxtel until Sebastian points it out. Happily his laptop is already on the correct page for Foxtel Play when he rushes to sign up.
