Half Dome nabs new head of strategy from Wavemaker
Half Dome has appointed Wavemaker’s Adrian Cosstick as head of strategy.
Effective immediately, Cosstick will replace Will Harms, who formally moves into a new role as head of clients.
“I have been chasing Age for a very, very long time so I am super excited to have him on board,” said Harms. “We have always been aligned about the future of media strategy, so we can’t wait to build a super distinctive strategic product that brings that to life.”
“Hiring a new Head of Strategy will also allow me to focus purely on my role as Head of Clients, unlocking further benefits for our partners. We think having two senior strategy resources in the business will represent a real superpower for Half Dome, seeing strategic thinking to permeate through the whole business.”
Cosstick joins the independent agency after a six-year stint as Wavemaker’s head of strategy, where he led thought leadership, strategy and planning for the Mondelez ANZ account. He was previously head of strategy at Maxus Global, and has also held senior roles on the client side at Draftstars Ltd and CrownBet.
Of his new role, Cosstick said: “I’m thrilled to join Half Dome who have built an innovative and agile business that has a unique point of difference in the market. I’m looking forward to working with Will and the team to future-proof our clients’ communication strategies and design transformative solutions that combine creativity, technology, and pragmatism. Developments in AI and marketing science make it an exciting time to work in communication and media planning.”
Half Dome last year launched a major brand refresh with its new ‘Whole Potential’ positioning. The agency has recently picked up media for Vitasoy, and expanded its remit with GMHBA.
