Hamish and Andy star alongside Lleyton Hewitt in latest celebrity Uber Eats push

Uber Eats is continuing to tap into the local celebrity scene for its advertising push, this time using iconic radio duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee (‘Hamish & Andy’), who battle it out with tennis star Lleyton Hewitt.

The campaign – which thus far has also starred former SBS stalwart Lee Lin Chin, veteran journalist Ray Martin and Hollywood star Rebel Wilson – will run across television, out of home, radio, digital and social media.

As well as relying on the dynamic between Blake and Lee, the ad also riffs off Hewitt’s famous ‘Come on’ pump-up celebratory cheer.

Speaking as one, Lee and Blake said the partnership makes sense.

“We’re professionals when it comes to not moving from the couch and ordering dinner, so it makes sense that we’ve teamed up with Uber Eats. Our favourite thing about food delivery is that we can pass it off as something we’ve cooked personally if our partners arrive home after the delivery,” the duo said.

Hewitt said the is a regular user of the Uber Eats service.

“Being a regular user of Uber Eats, I was extremely happy being chosen to be part of their new campaign,” he said. “I really enjoyed last year’s and to have a chance to be part of the new one, especially working with Hamish and Andy, I knew it would be fun. And it was.”
