Hamish & Andy headline new entries on Australian Podcast Ranker
Three new entries appear on the latest Australian Podcast Ranker released by Triton Digital, with the highest debut going to a new project from former Hit Network drive duo Hamish and Andy.
Hamish and Andy’s Remembering Project lands at #30 for the month of October, while the pair’s other podcast remains third-most downloaded on the ranker.
The top two spots on the ranker are also unchanged, with Stuff You Should Know (ARN/iHeartPodcast Network Australia) and Casefile True Crime (Audioboom) remaining at #1 and #2 respectively.
Other new entries to appear in the Top 100 this reporting period (October 1 to October 31) are two podcasts published by Sticher – Hidden Brain and Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People.
ARN’s Kyle and Jackie O show remains the #1 most downloaded radio catch-up podcast, while Nova Entertainment’s Kate, Tim and Joel is the other radio catch-up in the Top 10 (falling three places to #10).
Following the end of the AFL season, AFL Trade Radio rocketed up the ranker to break into the Top 10 at #7.
Meanwhile, there were several entries in the All-Australian Top 100, including ARN/iHeartMedia’s Dr Justin Coulson’s Happy Families, while Hamish and Andy’s remembering project debuted at #23.
Casefile True Crime (Audioboom) holds the #1 spot as the most downloaded Australian podcast in the country.
There was little change when it came to the top podcast publishers, with ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia remaining at #1 for the month of October.
The publisher has four podcasts in the Top 10 of the Australian podcast ranker, and its 320 active podcasts for the month were downloaded over 11 million times.
It sits atop an unchanged Top 5, made up of SCA, News Corp Australia, independent Sticher, and Audioboom.
Following the recent launch of new stations including 1170 SEN Sydney, Sports Entertainment Network climbed two frames to #7.
Triton Digital reported that total downloads of all shows by all participating publishers in the month of October is 49.4 million.
Overall monthly downloads reported by Triton Digital were up 200,000 on the September ranker.
