Hardhat adds 3 new directors; promotes within client service team

Independent creative agency Hardhat has announced a string of director appointments and internal promotions.

L-R: Jade Mittermair, Katy Ross and Mark Tompkins

Mark Tompkins joins Hardhat from TBWA Melbourne as creative director. During his time at the latter, he helped develop campaigns for clients including Nissan, Bumble, Seek and Mattel. Prior to this, Tompkins was the digital creative director at Big Red, spearheading teams across Coles and Optus accounts.

Katy Ross has joined in the newly created role of operations director, joining from The Royals where she led resourcing and operations.

Account director, Jade Mittermair moved from Saatchi & Saatchi, where she led accounts including Visa Aus & NZ and several L’Oreal skincare brands. Prior to this, Mittermair was with The Royals and Cummins & Partners.

These hires follow Hardhat’s recent appointment of Ken Chan as head of strategy.

Other internal promotions include Lesley Baker as client service director and Victoria Beranger as group account director.

General manager at Hardhat, Issy Bonin, said: “We’re proud to welcome a team of new Hardhatters who are as talented and ambitious as they are genuine. After a sustained period of growth in the last quarter, we can say with great confidence that we’ve found the right people to accelerate and support the great work we do and the relationships we have with our clients.

“It’s always a moment worth celebrating when Hardhat sees members of our internal team reach new goals. Les and Vic are incredibly deserving of their titles and always lead with hustle, humility and heart in mind.”

Hardhat’s founder, Dan Monheit is set to speak at the Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit in Melbourne this September, presenting key research insights from Hardhat on ‘behavioural bias’ and how customers value, choose and remember the experiences they have had.
