Hasbro appoints Access PR to the public relations account for its games portfolio

Hasbro has appointed Access PR to the public relations account for its games portfolio.

The appointment comes as Hasbro reports a resurgence in the popularity of board games during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Access PR is currently focused on Monopoly’s 85th anniversary

Access will be working on brands including Connect 4, Jenga and Operation, and will be launching the campaign marking Monopoly’s 85th anniversary this year.

Access PR CEO Andrea Kerekes said the team has become very invested in Hasbro’s games.

“It’s fantastic to work with a company like Hasbro that continues to bring fun and connection to family and friends. Not to mention the Access team is now a band of Monopoly experts – don’t buy utilities is our hot tip,” she said.

Hasbro Australia brand publicity and One Voice marketing manager, Jenny Lacey, said: “Monopoly’s 85th Anniversary is a major milestone and we’re excited to work with the team at Access PR to create plenty of buzz and awareness around what we’re doing to celebrate.”

Earlier this year, Access PR opened an office in Darwin off the back of winning the PR account for Charles Darwin University. The agency hired Bethaney Maley from the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre to lead to the Darwin office.

In February, Hasbro appointed Mediacom to its $6m local media account, encompassing its entire brand portfolio.
