DDB Melbourne’s Kate Sterling moves to Live Person as ANZ client director

Managing director of DDB Melbourne, Kate Sterling, has departed the agency to become the ANZ client director at AI messaging business Live Person.

Sterling said she was ‘extremely proud’ of her time at DDB.

“Returning to DDB was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In three years, we’ve created an enviable culture, strong management team and produced some fabulous work I am extremely proud of.

“I leave the business in good hands and have no doubt they will continue to go on and achieve amazing things. After the majority of my career in advertising, I am excited about pursuing an entirely different career and opportunity,” she said.

Sterling became managing director at the agency in 2017, returning to DDB Melbourne after spending three years there as group business director between 2008 and 2011.

Previously, Sterling was managing director at management consultancy Penso and marketing manager at Seek.

The search for Sterling’s replacement is underway.

DDB CEO Andrew Little thanked Sterling for her time at the agency.

“Kate Sterling has made a great contribution to our business over the last three years with the agency re-establishing a strong reputation under her leadership. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours. An announcement about her replacement will be made in due course,” Little said.

Live Person has been contacted for comment.
