Hatched lands Reece media account

Hatched Melbourne has won the full media account for plumbing and bathroom supplies business, Reece Group, Mumbrella can reveal.

It is the first account win of the year for Mumbrella’s media agency of the year in 2022, and the first under its new leadership structure with Stephen Fisher as CEO and Adrian Roeling as chief operating officer.

Reece shifts its media to Hatched

The Melbourne-based account previously sat with Dentsu’s Carat and digital performance agency, Alley (part of Nunn Media), Mumbrella understands. It is also understood Carat did not pitch to retain the business.

Reece did not provide any comment, however, Roeling told Mumbrella: “Hatched was appointed following a competitive pitch and we will work with Reece on its media strategy and buying across the Reece ecosystem from bricks and mortar stores to online.

“Reece is one of Australia’s most iconic companies with a long history of delivering an unwavering commitment to its customers through quality service, expertise and product.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be partnering with Reece to drive continued growth through media.

“Reece’s impressive marketing team has values that strongly align with Hatched’s. We can’t wait to deliver some great outcomes together.”

Hatched opened its doors in Sydney last year also, with industry veteran Mike Wilson joining the setup as chairman of the new office, and Simon Porter joining as head of retail.

Reece currently has over 800 stores in Australia.
