Royce will join Havas in the newly created role of executive creative director

In his new role, Royce will lead the creative side of the business, and will aim to bolster strategy and drive growth for brands.

Prior to his role with Havas, Royce was most recently with Cummins&Partners Melbourne as creative director, however finished with the agency in August 2016.

Royce has also worked with TBWA and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and has judged at Cannes Lions, London International Awards, New York Festivals, South by Southwest (SXSW) and Award.

Matt Houltham, group managing director at Havas Melbourne described Damian as a “rare creative leader” who combines “digital and experiential skills with more traditional storytelling abilities”.

“His versatility is essential for our Village model, where our creative outputs span every type of channel and format. We are very excited to have him lead the team to build on the momentum of the last six months and help take the agency to the next level,” said Houltham.

Royce said he “jumped” at the chance to work with Havas.

“The Havas team genuinely seem to work as marketing partners for their clients and that provides the scope to apply creative thinking to solving business and marketing challenges,” Royce said.

“That’s an inspiring environment to work in as it gives you the chance to create truly effective and meaningful experiences that engage people with brands.”
