Have You Been Paying Attention tops entertainment as Seven takes overall win

Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention took out the top spot for entertainment last night, in what was an evening largely dominated by news programming.

The episode brought in 645,000 metro viewers for Ten and won all three key advertising demos, however it was Seven that took out overall share for the evening. ABC’s Australian Story came in next with 630,00 metro viewers, and The Chase Australia on Seven followed closely with 602,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 16 May, Seven News topped the list with 1.654 million Total TV viewers, including 41,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The first and second episodes of 9-1-1 both achieved the highest uplift of the evening, with 61%, viewed by 504,000 and 439,000 Total TV viewers , respectively.

Next in entertainment on Monday was Seven’s The Chase Australia, bringing in 602,000 metro viewers, Home and Away with 558,000 metro viewers, and ABC’s Media Watch, with 528,000 metro viewers.

ABC’s Four Corners brought in 526,000 metro viewers, Ten’s Masterchef Australia had 523,000 metro viewers and Hot Seat on Nine had 480,000 metro viewers.

Hot Seat had 407,000 metro viewers, followed by The Cheap Seats on Ten with 340,000 metro viewers, then Seven’s The Good Doctor with 314,000 metro viewers. The second episode of Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice Australia came in next, airing to 367,000 metro viewers, with Seven’s Big Brother bringing in 343,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 1,070,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 1,020,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 917,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 888,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 739,000 metro viewers with 7:30 on ABC hitting 723,000 metro viewers. Nine’s A Current Affair was next on 674,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, the Seven Network took out total share for the evening with 26.3%, followed by the Nine Network on 24.1%. Network 10 was next with 21.3% of total share, followed by ABC with 21.1%.
