Have You Been Paying Attention’s Tom Gleisner among Queen’s Birthday Honours list
Co-founder of Working Dog Productions and current host of Ten’s comedy quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention?, Tom Gleisner, has been named on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for “distinguished service to the media and television industries”.
Gleisner is now an officer of the Order of Australia.
He told News Corp he was not used to this level of attention.
“I don’t think there are TV Week voting forms for this one, I think it might be more technical than that,” News Corp quotes him as saying.
In addition to being recognised for his television work – which includes work in front of the camera and behind the scenes on shows including Thank God You’re Here and Utopia – Gleisner was recognised for his work with charities supporting children with autism spectrum disorders.

Congratulations to all.
But I wonder why ace financial journalist/editor Bob Gottliebsen, who was the financial review’s first Chanticleer columnist 40 years ago, was the joint founder of BRW, among other achievements, gets an AM.
Whereas, when The Age’s long standing political editor Michelle Grattan was rightfully honoured some 15 years ago, she received the AO, a higher order?

Well done Tom. My favourite TV show by far – providing they don’t have Julia Morris on it!
