Hayley Spence joins Social Soup as head of clients

Influencer marketing business Social Soup has expanded its management team with the appointment of Hayley Spence as head of clients.

The announcement:

The Influence Group’s Social Soup, the largest influencer marketing business in Australia and New Zealand, today announced the appointment of Hayley Spence as Head of Clients, effective 14 November. She will report to Social Soup’s Managing Director, Katie Palmer-Rose.

Hayley moves to Social Soup from TikTok Australia, where she was a Business Partner. Hayley joined TikTok Australia in December 2019 as its first employee. Her resume also includes management and business development roles at Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific, OMD Australia and Manning Gottlieb OMD in the UK.

Katie said: “As Social Soup moves through its 15th year of leading influence, we have prioritised engaging with people that bring future-focused expertise and broad agency and platform experience to complement our amazing team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hayley as Head of Clients, who brings with her market leading skills and knowledge to continue to drive strong strategic growth for Social Soup.”

The addition of Hayley follows the appointments earlier this year of Chris Burt-Allan as Social Soup’s first Creator Director and Pete Hong as Influence Director.

Hayley said: “I am very excited to join Social Soup because they understand the power of influence and seek ways to help brands gain that advantage in interesting ways that make an impact. It is hard to leave a place like TikTok after almost three years, but I am confident that my unique experience will help the Social Soup business and will also challenge me in the best ways. I am looking forward to getting my sleeves rolled up and getting closer to clients.”

Social Soup is part of the fast-growing marketing and strategic consulting business, The Influence Group, which also owns the strategic consulting and insights company Pollinate. Together, Social Soup and Pollinate employ 50 people around Australia and have recorded revenue growth of 30% a year over the past five years.
