Headjam creative appoints international motion graphics artist

Digital creative agency Headjam has appointed Helen Simmons as broadcast designer, to work with clients across 2D and 3D video animation, in pre- and post-production, including editing and visual effects (VFX).

Newcastle-based digital creative agency Headjam has added to its team of digital communications experts with the appointment of Helen Simmons as Broadcast Designer.

As a specialist Broadcast Designer, Helen will work with Headjam’s clients across 2D and 3D video animation, and pre and post production including editing and visual effects (VFX).

With a career that transcends continents, Helen took the leap and relocated to London to begin her motion graphics career after graduating from Victoria University and completing an internship at Big Foot Production Studios in the Philippines.

Landing junior roles with Gorgeous Enterprises and Annex Films in the UK’s advertising production industry, Helen rapidly grew her skillset before founding The Visual Collective, where she worked with local and international brands including King’s College London, Sportsbet, Nescafe and Barclays Bank.

Headjam Managing Director, Luke Kellett, said Ms Simmons’ breadth of experience will provide significant advantages to the growing team.

“Helen’s expertise and international experience is the perfect accompaniment to the Headjam team, given her experience working with a number of learning institutions, arts, entertainment, causes and communities,” said Mr Kellett.

“Our clients will greatly benefit from Helen’s genuine passion for her work and unique approach to digital and visual communication,” he said.

As a true collaborator, Ms Simmons said she was thrilled to join the team as Broadcast Designer.

“After more than five years working in London and running The Visual Collective I was looking to come back to Australia and Headjam’s deeply creative and inspiring team was the perfect fit,” said Ms Simmons.

“The ethos of Headjam is similar to what I had been trying to create with my own digital agency in London. It’s so important to curate a collective of talented people who genuinely care about doing their best work in order to help clients achieve positive outcomes,” she said.
