Hit 92.9 reveals Heidi, Xavier & Ryan as new Perth breakfast show

Hit 92.9’s Heidi Anderson will be joined by ex-Hawthorn and West Coast Eagles midfielder Xavier Ellis and Canberra radio host Ryan Jon, as part of the station’s new 2018 Perth breakfast show.

The announcement comes almost a month after Anderson’s co-hosts Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw announced they would take over Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek’s KiisFM national drive time slot – which has been vacated as the duo move to Southern Cross Austereo to plug the hole which will be left by Hamish & Andy at the end of the year.

Ellis has been working with Anderson since March on Hit92.9’s weekend breakfast show, between 7am and 9am on Saturdays and Sundays.

They will now be joined by Canberra’s Hit 104.7FM breakfast radio host Jon, who recently launched a new podcast series, Am I ready to become a father?

Jon has been in Canberra for the last three years, and prior to that worked on HotFM in Bunbury, Western Australia.

The Heidi, Xavier & Ryan Show will commence on January 8.

Anderson said she couldn’t be more excited to start working with her two new “work husbands”.

“I’ve committed to three blokes this year, including my fiancé Griffo, but what I love about my work hubbies is they’re totally different,” Anderson said.

“Xavier is fun and free, and straight up with no filter! Ryan on the other hand is a little more quirky and serious. He’ll be the one calling the family meetings!

“I can’t wait to rock the airwaves with them next year.”

Amanda Lee, Hit92.9’s content director said the new show will provide something ‘unique’ for Perth.

“Heidi, Xavier & Ryan will be fun, entertaining, creative and real, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear their instant chemistry,” she said.

“Bringing fresh and engaging content to their listeners is their priority.”

Hit92.9’s new show follows ARN’s 96FM’s announcement breakfast show hosts Carmen Braidwood and Brad ‘Fitzi’ Fitzgerald had been removed from the station’s 2018 lineup.

96FM breakfast will instead be run by Lisa Fernandez and Paul Hogan.
