H&M names Laura Pietrantonio as ANZ head of marketing and comms

Retailer H&M has promoted within to find a new head of marketing and communications for Australia and New Zealand.

Laura Pietrantonio, who has been with the brand for nearly 18 months as AUNZ’s head of PR and comms, has been promoted to the new role, effective immediately.

She will now be responsible for all marketing and communications activities, including media and customer insights, brand and content, PR, and internal comms.

“As we enter a new era at H&M and elevate our customer experience, I’m excited by the strategic vision Laura brings to this role and where she will lead our marketing and communications efforts,” said Anna Baldwin, H&M’s AUNZ country director.

“Laura brings extensive experience in fashion and local market knowledge to the position and is a huge asset to the leadership team as we enter this next phase.”

Prior to H&M, Pietrantonio was head of PR and comms for Koala, where she oversaw all strategic planning, development and execution, PR, external comms, media relations and brand partnerships.

She also brings experience from amaysim, where she was marketing and brand manager, Camilla Australia, where she was head of PR and comms, and various other agencies and brands including Havaianas, Elise Garland Public Relations and Hausmann.

“In my new role, I am passionate about elevating our brand experience and cementing our brand purpose of fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way, while connecting with our customer,” she said of her appointment.

“This year marks our 10th year in the Australian market, as we enter a new era with fashion and the customer at the forefront.”

H&M is due to redevelop two stores this year – Melbourne’s Werribee and Chadstone – in line with its global commitment to elevate the brand and product offering. It will also reopen a store in Newcastle’s Charlestown.
