Home and Away takes another win for Seven

Home and Away on Seven took the entertainment crown on Thursday night, while the network also celebrated an overall network share win.

The soap drama series aired to 439,000 metro viewers, while Seven News won key advertising demos 16-39, while Nine News at 6:30 won 18.49s, and 25-54s. winning all three key advertising demographics.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 10 November, Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.261 million viewers, including 32,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS had the biggest uplift of 478% and was viewed by a total audience of 517,000, and 254,000 on BVOD.

Next in Thursday’s overnights, The Chase Australia on Seven was next in entertainment, drawing in 417,000 metro viewers, while a late viewing of Home and Away pulled in 397,000 viewers.

Nine’s RBT had 366,000 metro viewers tuning in, followed by the network’s Paramedics with 337,000 viewers.

Kath & Kim on Seven was viewers by a metro audience of 212,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Thursday with 766,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 754,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 aired to 639,000, and Nine News brought in 613,000. Next was ABC News which pulled in 551,000 viewers, while A Current Affair brought in 504,000.

In terms of overall share, Seven took the top spot, as mentioned, with a share of 31% over Nine’s 27.9%, followed by ABC at 18.2%, and Ten with a 14% share.

Seven also secured the top primary channel share with 20.4% while Nine followed with 19.6%. The top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7mate with a share of 4.7%.
