Better Homes & Gardens takes print edition to Pinterest
Better Homes & Gardens has created an Australian media first with its “print to Pinterest” activation.
The September edition of the magazine, which goes on sale this week, features the integration with Pinterest, an image sharing site, on two separate pages.
Users can scan the magazine with their phones, if they have the Genie app installed, and “pin” the image to their Pinterest account.
When users tap the image it takes them to the magazine’s website where users can view additional rich content.
So they buy the magazine, download an app, sign into pinterest, scan the picture, and then upload it?
Why not, I don’t know, just push the pin it button on the website and cut out 4 unnecessary steps?
Agreed Ben, or copy what Mr Porter are doing….. The agency should be fired
