Honda pitches public relations account

Honda is on the hunt for a new public relations agency with the car manufacturer pitching the account, Mumbrella can reveal.

Douglas Wright, managing director at incumbent agency Wrights PR, told Mumbrella: “New circumstances and ideal timing led Wrights to notify Honda Australia that it was resigning the account.

“Our team looks forward to leveraging its 28 years of automotive expertise and taking advantage of new business opportunities that have become available,” he said.

Other clients of Wrights PR include Hungry Jack’s, Royal Melbourne Show, Victoria Racing Club, Peter Rowland Catering, St Kilda Festival and Alda Summit.

The pitch comes after Toyota recently appointed Red Agency to handle its national public relations account.

Honda confirmed the review however declined to comment.
