Hook Creative Studio welcomes new hire
Hook Creative Studio has nabbed Saatchi & Saatchi’s Jen Weston, to service the recently won Metricon account.
Weston joins the indie shop from the Publicis agency, where she has spent the past two years as business manager. There, she worked on the Toyota account, which the agency has held since 2021. Last year, its remit expanded.
At Hook, she will work on the Metricon account, as well as the agency’s own brand. According to a release, she’ll be working across the board to help Hook “do what it does best: make bold creative, better and faster”.

“Joining Hook felt like the right kind of chaos,” Weston said of her appointment.
“There’s an energy here that’s rare, smart people, no egos, big ambition, and a real love for the work. I’m pumped to get stuck in and make things happen.”
Pat Langton, co-founder and chief creative at Hook, described Weston as a “weapon”.
“Because of our unique agency model, we were looking for someone very specific, and we’re lucky that we found Jen. She’s already made an impact, and we can’t wait to see how far we can push things together.”
Her appointment will strengthen the agency’s ability to scale, following rapid growth since its launch last year. Other recent additions to the agency include Jonathan Akiki, who joined in March as creative director.
Hook won Metricon’s creative account in May, adding it to a client roster that also includes Globird Energy, Hooleys Waves, Wine Wolf, Kilvington Grammar, Harvest Snaps, and Calbee.
The account move came with some confusion, with the incumbent Hero putting out a release “paying tribute” with no mention of itself. The release instead recognised Metricon’s creative partnership with the now-defunct Magnum Opus Partners (MOP).
The MOP brand was quietly retired in 2022 when the agency was integrated into Hero.
