Hotwire secures PR and communications account for MedicalDirector

Australian medical software company MedicalDirector has appointed Hotwire as its public relations and communications agency.

Hotwire will be tasked with handling MedicalDirector’s media relations, corporate profiling, thought leadership and issues management services in the Australian market.

MedicalDirector head of marketing Robin Marchant said: “We currently process 2.3 patient consultations per second, over 70 million patient consultations and 66 million pharmaceutical scripts per year, with over 17,000 health professionals using our platforms and growing. What we needed in a PR partner is a company that understands and can effectively deliver the message of the importance of data and technology to healthcare. Hotwire stood out to us because of its exhaustive enterprise technology expertise. Data and technology is in its veins.”

Currently Hotwire already has a number of health tech clients across the world, including Nuance, Pfizer Healthcare Hub: London, Vivy, Unihealth and Qualcomm.

Mylan Vu, country manager at Hotwire Australia, said: “The fast growth of health tech and digital health has the potential to dramatically impact and improve lives around the world. Whether it’s fitness wearables, health apps, mHealth services, e-health or remote diagnostic solutions, health tech is widely recognised to be the next frontier in healthcare.

“We’re delighted to have been selected by MedicalDirector to create comms campaigns that highlight not just the innovation behind the solution, but the truly life-changing impacts it can deliver.”
