Human walks away from founding client IAG

Ad agency Human, which was created by STW to service IAG, has pulled out of the race to retain its foundation client.

This afternoon, it issued a statement saying that it was withdrawing from the current IAG pitch.

Kate Walker, Human’s MD, said: “We have had an outstanding relationship with IAG over the past 3½ years. We have worked with some wonderful people and we have done some great work. However, with a new team in place at IAG who are looking to take the business in a new direction, we believe the time is right for them to work with a new agency partner who will bring a fresh perspective to the table.

IAG’s head of marketing Dave Hunt, said: “We respect their decision to withdraw from the pitch, which is in keeping with their partnering approach and we wish them the very best for the future. We will be holding an end of relationship party to celebrate the many great things this relationship has achieved.”

Human was created by STW in 2007 to service the IAG business following the move of the creative account from M&C Saatchi. Since that time, Human has worked with clients including BT, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Meat & Livestock Australia, Events NSW and Sanitarium.

AdNews reports that M&C Saatchi, BWM and Whybin/TBWA are on the IAG pitch list.
