Hungry plant comes to life in Osmocote’s new campaign from The Core Agency

The Core Agency has put a ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ spin on the traditional meal delivery ad in the latest campaign for Evergreen Garden Care.

The ad sees a hungry Monstera coming alive and sneakily ordering a bottle of Osmocote’s plant food on its owner’s phone.

Later, when the owner is taking a selfie of her and her plant, it comes alive and gives her the shock of her life.

The campaign is capitalising on the growing trend of indoor plant ownership, however Evergreen Garden Care states that only 20% of indoor plants get fed. The campaign promotes the Pour and Feed plant food that makes it easy for plant owners to feed them.

Jon Skinner, founder and creative partner at The Core Agency, said: “We’ve been working with this partner for over eight years and they never stop innovating. For the Osmocote Pour+Feed launch we created a simple entertaining story to communicate how easy it now is to maintain healthy indoor plants.”

Mark Ellis, marketing director at Evergreen Garden Care, said: “Most people don’t know that indoor plants require feeding as well as water. Our new Osmocote Pour+Feed campaign clearly communicates this important fact, in a fun and entertaining way.”

The campaign will run across TV, digital, social and press in Australia and New Zealand.
