Hunter wins Charlie’s and Phoenix Organics

Charlie’s Group Ltd has appointed advertising agency Hunter to handle the account for  its Phoenix Organic and Charlie’s range.    

The announcement:

Charlie’s Group Ltd, one of New Zealand’s leading premium beverage manufacturers, has appointed Hunter, a creative agency with a digital heart, to both their Charlie’s and Phoenix Organics folios in Australia and New Zealand.

Ron Curteis, Marketing & Export Manager for Charlie’s, wanted “an independent agency that could work in both markets simultaneously rather than appointing two separate agencies.” With a strong independent spirit and offices in both Australia and New Zealand, Hunter is an ideal choice.

Hunter’s initial focus will be on launching Charlie’s into the Australian market, whilst maintaining the brand in New Zealand, before increasing activity for Charlie’s and Phoenix Organics in both markets.

Charlie’s was started in 1999 by Stefan Lepionka, Marc Ellis and Simon Neal, three honest fellas wanting honest juice that didn’t taste processed or unnatural. They set out to make the purest drinks of the highest quality; starting off with orange juice, there are now four product ranges under the Charlie’s brand – juices, smoothies, quenchers and water.

In 1986 the visionaries at Phoenix Organics started working with natural and organic ingredients before the rest of the world caught onto “sustainability.” Today they’re the proud makers of six delicious product ranges – organic sugar and honey sweetened soft drinks, sparkling fruit juice drinks, mineral waters,, juices and hot beverage concentrates like the very popular Phoenix Chai. Joining Charlie’s Group’s fresh and natural beverages family in December 2005, Phoenix Organics continues to evolve in accordance with their vision of being the pre-eminent premium cafe brand; the natural choice.

Hunter’s Creative Director Matthew Gibbins has previously worked across the Innocent drinks brand for five years in the UK.
